After Katy is finished, Act VIII starts with the final "upbeat / hits" act starting with Act My Age - a song about always feeling young - which is followed up by the penultimate number one hit on this setlist Last Friday Night. This may or may not have an intro with the use of Rise, but the entire act is just the one song Wide Awake as we can see we're beginning to end the tour. Power is perfect to perform here and get the crowd going again followed by the rock mix of I Kissed a Girl.Īct VII begins after the IKAG instrumental is finished. This would then be followed by Bigger than Me as it doesn't sound too out of place and bridges into Act VI perfectly where she moves from pop to a more rock sound. This section would finish with Into Me You See.Īct V would bring the tempo right up with California Gurls opening and going straight into Hot N Cold.
She could then follow this up with either Unconditionally (since she loved it) or MIss You More but these would be at selected dates only. This would be followed by the acoustic version of Part of Me she's been doing since the Manchester attacks. As we've seen today, she still loves TOY, so now is the time to bring it into the acoustic act.
The other songs are definitely performed acoustically but Save as Draft could be either realistically. Deja Vu also takes that mysterious vibe one step further and Tsunami is a perfect bridge from the mystery to a more chill act.Īct IV is the ballad section and begins with Save as Draft to ease us in. I like the way Firework entered into Dark Horse in the R1 Weekend so I kept it. Pendulum and Firework are not too far off sonically, so it doesn't sound too strange.Īct III starts with Dark Horse and uses that kind of sound for the entire section. This section basically refers to Katy's hits and also shows that she still has them and goes onto two of the more singleworthy songs on the album - Roulette and Pendulum - with the latter then going into one of (if not) her biggest hits Firework. Therefore, Bon Appetit was chosen (due to CTTR sounding too samey and working better in the encore) to follow Witness, and then followed by Hey Hey Hey.Īct II then opens with Teenage Dream. Since this is the Witness tour, the first act should be Witness-material only, but be short enough to bring in some hits with Act II. It's the tour name it's the theme of the era.
